About Me

Having grown up watching Long Way Round and Mondo Enduro I have always dreamt of one big adventure. As a teen I was certain that this would be riding around the world on a motorcycle however I soon realised that I would never be able to afford such an undertaking. All thoughts were put on the back burner as I instead pursued a career as a Geography teacher.

Fast forward two decades, the urge still persists. Six years ago I moved to Spain where I found a new passion for the outdoors. Running, mountain walks and wild camping have become my go to pursuits and this led me to wonder, could I possibly walk around the whole of Spain?

I have read extensively about the walks of others: Laurie Lee, Nicholas Crane to name but a few and although success is of course not guaranteed, I am certain – as are those who know me – that I will complete this challenge. More importantly I hope that I will be able to raise funds for a charity whose mission resonates strongly with me.

I hope you will join me from the 1st of September 2022 as I attempt to walk around Spain in order to raise money for the Young Minds charity!
